Trigg is a beachside suburb of Perth. It’s part of the City of Stirling local government area, and lies 14km north-west of Perth’s central business district. Trigg has a population of over 2,600.

History

Developing quickly as a popular tourist destination, Trigg was named in honour of Henry Trigg. Henry Trigg was the superintendent of the Western Australian Public Works Department between 1839 and 1851, as well as the founder of the Congregational Church.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Trigg Beach is an extremely popular with surfers, swimmers and bodyboarders. Mettams Pool is a great snorkelling spot, found just to the north of the main beach. Away from the beach, Trigg is dotted with bars, cafes and restaurants to service its many visitors. Towards the south, Trigg Bushland Reserve takes up a large chunk of the suburb. Clarko Reserve is a local favourite beachside park, known for its sheltered playground. Trigg is bordered by North Beach, Karrinyup and Scarborough.
