Robinvale is a town in northwestern Victoria. On the south bank of the Murray River, it has a population of over 2,000.
History
Robinvale is named to honour Lieutenant George Robin Cuttle, who in 1918, was killed during air combat over France.
In 1924, the Post Office was opened with the name Bumbang. It was renamed Robinvale in August of the same year. Robinvale was connected to the rest of the Victorian railway network in 1924 when the line from Manangatang opened.
The town was the setting of the 1996 Australian film “Love Serenadeâ€_x009d_ under the fictional name of “Sunrayâ€_x009d_. It won the Caméra d’Or award at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival.

The town is known for its production of grapes, carrots, olives, and almonds. It’s also home to an antique museum, a park, and a caravan park in the town. The town is served by Robinvale Airport.
