Narre Warren South is one of the fastest-growing suburbs in Victoria. With a population of over 28,000, this suburb is 40km south-east of Melbourne’s CBD.

History

European settlers arrived in Narre Warren late-1800s. The land was initially used for crops and farming.

Fewer rural and farming areas existed by the mid-1990s. Since then, Narre Warren South has since seen significant economic growth. Over the last decade, many subdivisions sprung up. These include Berwick Springs Estate, Cyprus Hill Estate, Golden Grove Estate, Camden Greens Estate, Berwick Springs, and Silverleaf.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Narre Warren South is home to many schools. This includes Narre Warren South P-12 College. This school has one of the largest student enrolments in Victoria. The suburb has two shopping centres. Casey Central Shopping Centre is anchored by a Coles Supermarket. Amberley Park Shopping Centre is a smaller site that has a Foodworks Supermarket.
