Reblocking is also called restumping, it is the replacement of old existing stumps (usually wooden) with new durable concrete stumps. Timber stumps have traditionally been used as the support for weatherboard homes, brick veneer homes and for the floors only in a solid brick house. Restumping is done by jacking up the floor to the original levels and removes the old defective stumps (sole plate must be removed) and put the new durable concrete stumps in place.

The purpose of underpinning is to strengthen and modify the foundation in order to make it more stable for a brick veneer home or solid brick home when it shows signs of structural movement e.g., cracks start to appear. We provide a structural engineer to do a soil test and draw a plan, for the job. When we receive the plan we do a building permit with a private surveyor when holes are dug and inspected, we pure the concrete and back fill.
