History

Kew East started out as an accumulation of several farms. The first ones appeared between 1845 and 1847. Several of the street and place names still reflect the names of the former farming estates. For instance, Willsmere Road and Willsmere Park were both named after the farm Willsmere Estate.

You can find everything you could possibly need in Kew East. It has several schools, a golf club, and several churches. The main shopping area is called Harp Village. You can find it on High Street close to the Harp Road intersection. Another smaller mall, Belford Court Shopping Centre, is located on Belford Road.
