Harry Evans & Sons Billiards have been supplying coin operated pool tables to pubs and pool hall venues around Australia for decades. We can advise on the best pool tables to suit requirements, deliver, install, and provide maintenance and repairs when required. Of course all accessories requirements such as pool balls, cues and other billiards equipment can be supplied.
The 100% woollen cloth preferred and used is superior English 'Strachan' or 'Mitchell' brand - traditionally in the familiar emerald green, however, there are other colour choices available to suit your decor.

Dust covers are highly recommended to prolong the life of your billiard cloth. Strong light and dust can fade & break down the wool fibres. Dust covers can be made of cotton, linen or some other breathable fabric which can be complimentary to decor as well. Where pets or children frequent a water-proof cover may be advisable. Yes we can. This procedure involves the re-drawing of the D and baulk line onto the billiard cloth using special marking out tools and replacing the silk glue on spots under the coloured ball positions. As there are quite strict dimensions as to where these are positioned for the various size tables it is therefore recommended to seek the expertise of billiards technicians.
With regular use tips on cues become worn or drop off and ferrules may split. Harry Evans & Sons provides a re-tipping service where a new high quality leather tip is applied and/or ferrule replaced. We can also give helpful hints on good tip maintenance.
Following re-location or due to climatic changes billiards tables may need levelling. This is provided in a general service by Harry Evans & Sons and is achieved by means of 'adjusting' toes at the base of the table legs
The purpose of ironing cloth is to lay the nap flat so as to increase the speed of the balls in play. This is done on 'wool setting' or using medium dry heat with a billiard iron. Hold iron at 45deg. angle to reduce heat marks. Care must be taken to keep the iron moving at all times. If unsure seek specialist advice.
We are open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. We observe all public holidays.
The direction the fibres lay flat and can be felt by gently stroking the cloth. It is important to brush the table consistent with the established nap of the cloth.
