History

Coburg North is located north of Coburg, and shares the same postcode. Coburg North’s post office was built in 1857, and closed down in 1980. The suburb is also home to multiple primary schools, including Newlands Primary School. Built in 1951, the school’s design was attributed to Percey Everett, the chief architect at the Public Works Department of VIC.
