FAQs
I can honestly say that the hardest thing about getting the pool was deciding the colour & what size to get. It was great as I didn't have to worry about any permits or dealing with the council. Everything was done within the time line you set out. Any ideas I had been listened to & In ever felt pressured in any way to have something I didn't want or feel comfortable with.
Dear Paula and Gary,
We thank you both for the brilliant job you guys did installing our new pool it happened so quickly & without any hassles. We really appreciated your excellent service with guiding us through the first time use & your continued service since our pool was installed. As you are aware we have referred friends to you guys who have also experienced the same expert service & I can assure you we will continue to shout your praises. We just love our pool.

There are four main types of pool cleaners: manual, suction side, pressure side and robotic. Manual is just cleaning your pool with a hand operated vacuum. Suction side cleaners operate off the suction from your pump and draw the dirt into the filter. These generally only clean the bottom of the pool well. Pressure side cleaners stir up the dirt for to filter to catch. Robotic cleaners have their own pump and filter built in reducing demand on the filter as they run independently.
All swimming pools and spas with a depth of water more than 300 mm associated with Class 1, 2 and 3 buildings and a Class 4 part of a building or a children's service must have safety barriers to restrict access of children under the age of five to the pool or spa area. It is the responsibility of owners and occupiers of a property to ensure that the pool, spa and associated barriers to restrict access to the pool or spa area are maintained and in good working order.

Every building project, no matter how big or small, carries some sort of risk. By using a licensed builder you are engaging a qualified, knowledgeable and experienced professional. If you are building a swimming pool or spa, the first question you should always ask your builder is: Are you a licensed builder?
All swimming pools and spas (both in ground and above ground) greater than 300 mm in depth require a building permit in order to undertake construction work. A building permit is also required for installing and altering all swimming pool and spa safety barriers. You should always check with us or your local council or private building surveyor prior to undertaking any building work and obtain a copy of the building permit.

Salt (NaCl) is made from sodium and chloride (chlorine). When the water in the pool passes through the cell electrolysis is used to break down the salt into usable chlorine which then treats your pool. The average residential pool will use about two 25 kg bags of salt per years from splash-out and evaporation. The cost is around $8 per bag from Bunning's.
The pool can be purified by an Ioniser (Bioniser) which uses zero salt and chlorine free. The water is non-allergenic, asthma and eczema friendly being kind to the skin, eyes, lungs and costumes. The customers choosing this option are happy with the results.
Mineral salts are also available to be used instead of conventional pool salt. The blended minerals are designed to soften your pool or spa water and can provide health benefits for the skin, hair, eyes and nervous system. The salt water chlorinator is still used in this application.
The filtration equipment is from AstralPool/Hurlcon. The Viron P300 pump has an 8 star rating and will save you over $700 a year in running costs and is extremely quiet. The Multicyclone (Waterco) is a pre-filter that will take 80 per cent of the dust and dirt prior to it reaching the filter so it will save on time, maintenance and extend the life of the filter. Our products are excellent and we always oversize them to reduce running times and maintenance.
The pool can be plumbed for solar on pool installation and then added on now or at a later stage. We offer two options. The first is the standard rubber matting (10 year warranty) that is glued to your roof and the most commonly used solar. The second is Heliocol and our preferred form of solar heating. It offers a 25 year warranty and provides resistance against cockatoos and vermin as it comes in tough polypropylene panels that are mounted to your roof.
We recommend you use a solar pool blanket to reduce evaporation from the sun and wind and to heat the pool. You can lose about 1cm across the pool per day during summer without a pool blanket. We always include Daisy solar blankets in our pool packages. Since July 2011 you will also receive a $200 rebate on the pool blanket and roller by using the invoice we provide as the solar blanket is 400 micron. There are other great rebates on items you may be purchasing.
