Aspendale Gardens is a residential suburb in Melbourne, Victoria. It’s located 27km south-east of Melbourne’s central business district and has a population of 6,596.

History

The town developed towards the end of the 1900’s, as the population grew in surrounding areas.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

The main road in the town is called Wells Road. There is a small shopping centre in the town, which includes a large grocery store, bakery and other smaller stores. The town has a primary school, named Aspendale Gardens Primary School. Richfields, a retirement village, is also located there.

There is a cricket oval behind the primary school, as well as six playgrounds and 20 grassy areas throughout the estates. The town has several walking trails, including the Long Beach Trail, the Mordialloc Creek Trail, the Waterways Trail and the Aspendale Gardens Trail.
