Romaine’s main attraction is the amazing plant life that flourishes in the reserve. The Romaine Reserve is 12 ha, filled with 22,000 plans in a natural amphitheatre. The garden also has a tearoom where patrons can overlook the gardens. There are many native faunae, such as ducks, hens, platypus, and reptiles that inhabit the area.

There are many beautiful walking tracks that wind around the suburb.

The suburb has two schools and two churches. There is a both a netball and a football club.
