We are there for you and your family in this difficult time to try and make things easier for you by taking care of your deceased pet. Your pet is treated with utmost respect and dignity as if they are one of our own and this is very important to us. We also work together with many veterinary practices who are interested in making our services available to their clients.

Paws To Reflect Pet Cremations is a family-owned business providing clients with sensitive and modern pet cremation services from our peaceful rural property in Adelaide. All of our services will be dignified, catered to your wishes and personalised for you and for your beloved pet. We provide personal and dignified cremations for pets with fur, feathers or scales of any size up to around 90 kg.

All of us are animal lovers, just like you. We know what it's like to care for a beloved pet and, eventually, to lose them. We began this business to help others who have lost their loved pets by providing caring service for your pet's cremation and any memorialising products you need. We will return your pet's ashes to you in a vessel of your choice, create ash keepsakes for you to remember them by or scatter their ashes according to your request. We also provide memorial urns, river stones and plaques.

FAQs

  • How and when should I pay for the cremation?

We accept cash, cheque or direct credit. Unfortunately, we do not accept credit cards. Payment is usually made upon return of ashes, although we do reserve the right to request payment in advance.

  • What is my pet cremated in?

A specially designed, purpose-built pet cremator that uses the latest technology and is environmentally friendly. Our cremator is used exclusively for pet cremations and complies with strict current EPA codes.

  • How do I make arrangements for Paws to Reflect to handle my pet's cremation?

All you need to do is to contact us direct by phone, fax or email and/or inform your vet to contact and we will pick up your pet at a time which is suitable and convenient. This can be from your home or your vet. We will need you to complete an authorisation form which asks what service you require. This can be given to your vet or we can collect when at your home.

  • What is cremation?

Cremation is the specialised process of reducing a body by exposing it to intense heat. Through high temperatures and evaporation, the body is reduced to mineral form known as "cremains" or better known as "ashes". The ashes are then crushed into a semi- powdered form.

  • Can I make arrangements with Paws to Reflect before my pet is deceased?

Yes, we are happy for you to contact us well in advance of your pet's passing to make sure that your exact wishes can be carried out. We can keep details of your pet on file until you need our help. We would suggest that you let your vet know that you would like Paws to Reflect to take care of your deceased pet to ensure your pet is not sent elsewhere.

  • May I attend my pet's cremation?

Due to the length of the cremation process and Government regulations, we are unable to offer this, but we welcome your visit to view our facilities and to farewell your pet in private.
