History

A lot of the streets in Flinders Park are named after well-known explorers. It is thought that the suburb itself might be named after explorer Matthew Flinders.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

There are several parkland areas in Flinders Park. The Torrens Linear Park runs along the river. Visitors can enjoy a 30km walk or cycle along a trail that goes through the park.

The Flinders Park Football Club is dear to the hearts of many Flinders residents. During summer a cricket team also uses the grounds.
