History
The first European settler to come to the area was the Scot Peter Anderson. ‘Burn’ is the Scottish word for creek, and as the area is located on the side of Second Creek, he named it Burnside. Three decades after Anderson had arrived, the area had grown to a village. It continued to grow in the early 20th Century and has now become one of the most sought after suburbs in Adelaide.

Burnside is a quaint suburb filled with beautiful historic buildings. One of the main attractions is The Feathers Hotel, which is a Georgian style pub. It is also home to many amenities, such as a swimming pool, a number of parks and a primary school.
