History

The area is located adjacent to and north of the larger town of Nambour.

Over time the area has become famous for a large section of bushland called the Parklands Conservation Park. The Conservation Park is found in the eastern parklands.

Interestingly, the modern suburb is bisected by the Bruce Highway. A major transportation route in Queensland.

Nambour Golf Course is located in the south of the Parklands. The golf course attracts many elderly tourists to the area.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

The Parklands Conservation Park is a popular local tourist destination. Mountain Biking enthusiasts frequent the park. This is because the park has a number of defined, marked trails. 15km of tracks are open to the public. The suburb has a small population as it is mostly composed of parklands. Local residents are older and commute to Nambour for work.
