Loganlea is a suburb in Logan City, and is 27km from Brisbane’s general post office. The suburb is near the Logan River, and had a population of 6,172 at the 2011 census.

History

Loganlea’s post office opened in 1871, and a hotel and Cobb and Co were soon also brought to the area. In 1876 there was a crossing from the Logan River to Waterford, and the local railway station opened in 1885. However, housing developments didn’t begin until the 1970s and 1980s.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

As a mainly residential suburb, Loganlea has two local parks, Evergreen and Sturdee Park, for people in the area to enjoy. Loganlea’s centre has a small retail zone, including a childcare centre. Art lovers can enjoy the suburb’s Logan Artists Association gallery.
