Gas Strut Repairs

Hi, I'm Paul, independent owner / operator of mobile Gas Strut Repairs. If you're wondering, 'what the heck is gas struts? - they are commonly found doing a fine job of helping to open, and holding open, various doors and hatches of cars, especially station wagons and vans.

If you do know what they are, I hope you're not among the many that have had a free bone density test performed when a strut has failed.

Struts don't often fail suddenly; they usually give a few hints before the big one! For example, the door or hatch needs to be pushed the last part of its travel, the push helps but sometimes falls back down a little, the push doesn't help and it always falls a little. For a while this goes almost unnoticed whilst you're busy with the stroller, shopping or golf clubs.

But then there's the day when you need both hands to lift something, the uneasy truce with the door temporarily forgotten, and you bend down, pick up, and straighten. Bang. Skull density testing time.

For 'peace of mind', ring me to get some new life out of your 'Tired' struts before it goes the other way round. It's cheaper than buying new ones. Of course, if it is too late, I carry a range of new stock.
