Althaus Security Screens & Doors we’ve been manufacturing and installing security screens in the Toowoomba region for 27 years.
We have been a licensed Crimsafe manufacturer and valued member of the Crimsafe team since 1996. Althaus Security Screens & Doors was the first Crimsafe licensed manufacturer in Toowoomba and today we are 99% exclusively selling and manufacturing Crimsafe products.

Will my screens need a mid-rail?
Crimsafe security screens are strong enough that doors and windows can be made without the mid-rail for a more visually appealing look. However, a mid-rail will greatly increase the strength, security and resistance of your screen door or window, so we do generally recommend that you include one.

Can you do commercial or heavy-duty screens?

How do I clean my security screens?
Crimsafe security screens are best cleaned using a soft brush with a mix of car wash and wax in warm water, as the bristles will get between the apertures of the mesh. Then, give your screens a final wipe down with a wet cloth. They should be cleaned in this way every six months to maintain their appearance. If you live close a beach or river, your security screens may need more frequent cleaning.
