Collingwood Park is a town just outside Brisbane, Queensland. It is approximately 30km from the central business district. Collingwood Park has Six Mile Creek to the west and Goodna Creek to the east. It neighbours Redbank, Riverview, and New Chum. Collingwood Park has a population of 6,622.

History

Collingwood Park has been known as the ‘Dress Circle Suburb of Ipswich’ in the past because of its natural beauty. The area was considered much greener than its neighbour Redbank, which was more industrial. Collingwood Park was host to the 13th Australian Scout Jamboree in 1982. The area is home to a number of rare species of birds and animals. These include the Black-Chinned Honeyeater and the Powerful Owl.

Collingwood Park is home to fantastic green areas. These include Banjo Patterson Park which has areas for barbeques, a basketball court, and cricket pitch. Or visit Goupong Park named after an Ugarapul tribesman. Collingwood Park is well connected due to the M7 Ipswich motorway. The local rail station is in Redbank.
