History

Chambers Flat is named after an early settler in the region, John Chambers. Chambers owned land nearby in 1848. The area has an agricultural history, but has many residential areas today. A school was built as early as 1890, and run by a Miss Mary Curran. Chambers Flats used to fall under the administration of the Shire of Beaudesert, but this changed in 2008.
