FAQs

  • My car won't start. It just makes a fast clicking sound. What should I do?

Fast clicking is a sign of a poor battery connection of a faulty battery. Check your terminals to make sure they are secured tightly to the battery posts. If the fault is still, then pop in and get your battery check professionally.

  • My car won't start. It gives one click then nothing. What must be the reason?

This could be your starter motor failing or voltage drop in the starting circuit. You need to get the vehicle seen, to get repaired or your vehicle's starting system will fail completely.

  • My blinkers blink rapidly. What is the reason?

This usually means there is a current load issue in the blinker circuit. Check your globes.

  • When I switch my lights from low to high beam they drop out, not sure why?

This could be a fault in the switch and needs to be brought in to be repaired.

  • My air conditioning is not cold anymore. What should I do?

The system could be low on gas, which means the system needs to be checked by a registered air con tech.

  • I have a battery light staying on, on the dash even after I have replaced the battery. What could be the reason?

This is pointing to an alternator or charging fault and needs to be checked as soon as possible.

  • I drove my car last night and this morning, it won't start. Why?

This could be a possible battery drain fault. Check to see if a light is staying on, e.g. brake lights, interior light, boot light. If all this is ok then there could be a charging fault on your vehicle.

  • I put the electric windows down and now they won't go up. I can hear a motor sound from in the door. What is the reason?

In the door well of your car there is a mechanism called a regulator, this in combination with a motor makes, the window operate. If you can hear the window motor trying to work then it is possible that the regulator has failed. You will need to bring it in for a repair.
