Established in 1982, SoilTest.biz is a locally owned and operated family business that has been providing soil testing services in Cairns. For more than 41 years now, we have been providing site classifications, sewerage assessments, and civil and structural engineering. Our commitment to industry excellence and technological innovation is our characteristic. We offer site classifications from small individual residential blocks to large-scale commercial projects. Our team has extensive knowledge of local geographical conditions.
We offer a range of soil testing services, including compaction control, documentation, drilling, reports, sampling, and soil surveys. We test the soil for issues like acid sulphate soils, contamination, corrosion, groundwater, landslides, slope stability, soil landscape, and more. The various kinds of soil classifications we offer include decks, restumping, industrial land, pools, apartments, etc. Being a "one-stop-shop," we can also provide engineering design based on this site classification at a significantly lower price.
We are licenced by BSA to carry out site classifications and on-site wastewater disposal investigations as per Australian standards and local government requirements. We also offer services after hours. For a negligible fee, we can provide a soil test and a foundation design for homes that are slab-on-ground. We take great pleasure in providing high-quality service and being knowledgeable about the industry and the environment. In one to two weeks, our specialists may typically visit the site and finish the soil test.

How long will a soil test take?
We can usually go on site and complete a soil test within 1-2 weeks. If a contract is subject to soil test we will complete the soil report prior to this date.
