FAQs
I have sourced a range of quality materials depending on your needs, including a range of acrylics to suit your circumstances and budgets.
Partial Dentures can be made from acrylic, cobalt chromium or flexible Nylon. I can go through your best options at our initial consultation. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, and some are suited specifically to certain types of denture. They are critical to the mastication and digestion of food, particularly when replacing molars.
Dentures usually need to be replaced between 5 & 10 years depending on your individual circumstance. For many reasons including bone resorption, medications and weight loss, your dentures will become loose over time.
A reline provides a new fitting surface between your denture and your gums improving comfort. Resilient linings are a bit harder to keep clean and will need to be replaced every 2-3 years but can make the denture significantly more comfortable and in many cases can aid in retention.
They can break while you're on holiday, about to leave on a business trip or just before a wedding! I have repaired the result of a curious grandchild, a naughty dog and even a large lizard in Bali ... so don't worry ... I've seen it all!
I will do my absolute best to accommodate you in your time of need with the majority of repairs completed within two hours. I also have an after-hours emergency service available.

It depends on your individual requirements. I have sourced different acrylics and teeth to suit various circumstances and budgets. These can be discussed with you at your initial consultation which is free.
Acrylic full and partial dentures are usually 3-4 appointments spaced a week apart. Chrome dentures can take a bit longer. I will not finish a denture until both you and I are completely satisfied with the look and function of it. In emergency situations where a denture has been lost I can make a denture quickly for you.
Absolutely not - I deal directly with you. I am fully qualified with 33 years’ experience in dental prosthetics. I am endorsed by the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency and a long-time member of the Australian Dental Prosthetist Association.
This is a relatively common procedure whereby I construct your denture prior to your natural teeth being extracted. Once the denture is made, your dentist will extract your tooth/teeth and insert the denture at the same appointment. Whether it's one tooth or the whole lot, understandably you don't want to be without teeth for what could be weeks. It is very common for the denture to need to be relined 8-12 weeks after insertion as resorption occurs and the denture becomes loose.
It is critically important to look after your oral health. There are direct links between your dental health and your general health — sometimes you need to put yourself first for a change! Missing teeth adversely impact on your ability to masticate and therefore digest food. Old, uncomfortable or ill-fitting dentures can cause trauma to the mouth and will certainly impact on your ability to eat and digest food successfully.
