History

The town is named after Henry St John Bridgeman. He was a European settler who bought property in 1860 around what is now Beams Road, Bridgeman Road, and Albany Creek Road. Now the town is known for its relatively young residents. The suburb went through a lot of development in the 1990s. Lots of new, modern houses were built.
