Boronia Heights is a residential suburb of Logan City. It’s located 9km south-west of Logan Central, and 25km south of Brisbane’s central business district. Boronia Heights has a population of more than 7,600.

History

Up to the 1890s, Boronia Heights was known as the Logan Ridges. It became part of Greenbank until 1991, when it was declared its own suburb. It was named after the first housing estate to be built in the area.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

The Scrubby Creek runs along the eastern border of Boronia Heights. The Boronia Bushland Reserves is the suburb’s big draw, featuring lush flora and many species of wildlife. These include kangaroos, koalas, goannas and bandicoots. The reserve is a great spot for picnics and barbeques, as well as bushwalking. The suburb is also home to several schools, shops and parks, such as Highland Park, Tovey Park and Kunzea Park. Middle Green is a popular restaurant in the area.
