History

Bellbird Park was originally part of Goodna, but now it is its own area. It was primarily used as an area where resources were transported between Ipswich and Redbank. Since the 1970s lots of housing has been built. The name Bellbird Park comes from the builders hearing the sound of bellbirds as they worked.

Bellbird Park has come a long way. It currently has a spread of different types of homes. There are several local schools, some private. Head just over the boundary for two drive-in shopping centres. Bellbird Park has scenic views at Woogaroo Creek, with land protected from housing projects. The town also has a Church of Christ and a Church of Latter Day Saints.
