Warriewood is an attractive suburb in New South Wales with a population of around 5,000. It is located 26 kilometres north of Sydney’s central business district and is part of the Northern Beaches region.

History

The name Warriewood comes from a local estate owned by the McPherson family. The estate was called the Warriewood Estate. A man called Henry Halloran bought the estate from the McPherson family.

In 1906, Henry Halloran divided the estate into separate pieces of land. Warriewood was later developed and transformed into a small housing and business area.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Warriewood has a good shopping mall called Warriewood Square. The suburb is also home to a cinema complex and a Catholic high school.

It’s a quiet place where lots of people go to enjoy long days on the swimming beach. There is a mini golf centre in the area too.
