FAQs

  • Why should I choose you and not another clinic?

At Sports Physio South we take the time to carefully listen to your specific needs, and work with you to achieve your personal goals. Our physio's will only see one client at a time. All assessments & treatments are provided by highly qualified and experienced physiotherapists. Our partners Jan & Glenn Colaco are recognised experts – both with NSWIS preferred provider status & additional qualifications / specialisation to achieve Titled Sports Physio recognition.

  • Should I see a chiropractor or a physiotherapist or an osteopath for my problem

At Sports Physiotherapy South we have highly qualified physiotherapists who are experts in the assessment, diagnosis & management of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. We use a range of treatment techniques including physiotherapy, manipulation (adjustments), & muscle energy (osteopathic). We are your best choice of professional to assess & treat your condition using evidence based therapies

  • What happens at my initial consultation?

Our appointments allow for our physiotherapist to spend the entire consult with their client – to conduct a comprehensive examination and identify the cause of your problem. Your physiotherapist will give you a detailed explanation so you will understand your condition, provide the latest hands on treatment to help get you back to your best as quickly as possible, with an individually designed and guided home exercise program. We will provide you with a personalised prognosis and recovery plan.

  • Why does it matter if your physio was trained in Australia?

All of our physio’s are Australian trained with Australian University degrees in Physiotherapy (& Masters & Doctorates) giving you practioners with the most sought after physiotherapy degrees in the world. Overseas graduates are not recognised for Australian physiotherapy registration (& must work under supervision & pass a series of exams before they can gain their Australian registration).

  • Who should I see about lower back pain?

We are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of back pain. The majority of low back problems are due to problems which respond very well to our active physiotherapy with hands on manual therapy and specific exercises. Our aim is to get you back to back to your best as quickly as possible.
