About McKindlays Riverine Nursery

AT A GLANCE
  • Advice and consultation on plants
  • Providing the best quality growth for plants
  • We are a wholesale business
  • Providing most of the required seed
  • Affordable quality plants and equipment
We have been busy here at the nursery, come in and grab a bargain on our hiko plants.
McKindlays Riverine Nursery is a family owned native nursery located on the banks of the Murray River, 15km from Moama, NSW. We specialize in a range of indigenous ground covers, climbers, shrubs and trees grown in hiko trays, air pruned from seed collected and purchased locally.

We offer advice, and consultation on plants suitable for your soil, area, habitat and use. We supply stakes to help in holding up milk cartons to protect young plants from rabbits and other animals. The native nursery was established mainly for friends and family to get local plants that were unavailable elsewhere, but since then it has grown with over 60 varieties propagated on the premises by Felicity McKindlay, the daughter of John and Deb. All plants come in 40 cell hiko trays which provide the best quality growth for plants, easy to come out and to handle.

We are open by appointment, as we are a wholesale business, though if you do call by, we are more than happy to help you.

We cater to farmers, property owners, groups and organisations like Land Care and the Superb Parrot Project, as well as tenders, local shires, and those wishing to plant large numbers of plants on a new block, or for revegetation. The farm property is home to 1,100 Centre Plus Merino ewes, Merino lambs and Border Leister x sheep, all bred for their wool and meat.

Come and see us about landscaping your property, business or garden and restoring roadsides.

We offer affordable and quality plants, equipment for hire to help plant successfully, stakes and cartons to protect your plants and advice.
