Welcome to Ingleburn, NSW

Ingleburn is a suburb of Sydney, NSW and lies 44km south-west of the CBD. Part of the Macarthur region, it’s located halfway between the two commercial centres of Liverpool and Campbelltown. It has a population of 14,000.

History

Prior to the arrival of settlers in 1788, Ingleburn was originally home to the Tharawal people.

In 1809, the first land grants in the area were made to three former soldiers in the NSW Corps. Because of this, the area became known as “Soldier Flat”.

An area west of the railway line was rezoned to become an industrial estate in 1969. After this, the west side transformed into a largely industrial site.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Its CBD is next to the railway station and includes two shopping centres and a small shopping area.

Milton Park is a popular spot for football and softball teams in Ingleburn and is the site of the Ingleburn Alive festival’s fireworks.
