CBJ Drilling Services is a family-owned business with over 55 years of combined expertise, proudly serving Dubbo and the wider New South Wales region. We specialise in water bore drilling for rural properties, homes, farms, vineyards, sporting facilities, and commercial sites. From initial consultation to final installation, we tailor our services to deliver dependable groundwater access where town supply is limited or unavailable. Our multi-generational team ensures each bore is drilled with precision, efficiency, and full compliance with state regulations.
Our services include water bore construction, bore development, gravel packing, and free onsite inspections. During inspections, we assess site suitability, underground utilities, terrain, and access, while guiding clients through licensing requirements. After drilling, we stabilise the bore casing, clear debris, and measure water yield to ensure optimal performance. We also offer cleaning and relining services for older bores to restore water flow and efficiency, extending the life of existing infrastructure without the need for full replacement.
CBJ Drilling Services uses advanced equipment such as the Sullair Combo Compressor to handle even the toughest ground conditions around Dubbo and beyond. This ensures a faster, cleaner, and more reliable drilling process. Whether you’re developing a new irrigation system or restoring an older bore, we provide complete end-to-end solutions for consistent, long-term water access. With our reputation built on results and referrals, we remain the trusted choice for professional, efficient, and compliant boring and drilling solutions in regional New South Wales.

Your approval from Water NSW for a stock and domestic bore can take from 1 day to 1 month depending on your individual licencing requirements. Irrigation licences will take longer. Pricing for a stock & domestic bore licence can vary and it is best to check on the Water NSW website . These prices can change without notice. You must supply all the requested information to speed up your application.
In all states and territories, water drillers are required to be licensed. A driller should be able to provide references and produce a licence endorsed to cover the procedures necessary to complete your bore. Being licensed ensures that the driller and the company are accountable for the workmanship. With a licence should come many years of experience in bore construction. Using an unlicensed driller can result in irreparable damage to aquifers and the environment.
Once invoicing is finalised, we will forward your Form A documents to you. These documents are then taken to your preferred supplier who will tailor make the pump to your needs. You can only purchase a pump for your bore once you have these documents.
