History

This tiny village was established in 1880. Little is known about its history. In 1922, the village opened a railway station. However, this has since closed.

Coramba is close to many beaches and forests. Residents and visitors can visit the nearby Sandy Beach, Emerald Beach, and Sapphire Beach. You can swim, surf, or play watersports. If you’re a nature lover, Orara East State Forest and Wedding Bells State Forest are nearby.

The town has a range of facilities for residents. These include a general store, service station, post office, hotel, and vet clinic.

Coramba is also the home of the Orara Valley rugby league club. The team plays in the Group 2 competition.
