Blairmount is located in New South Wales, and is part of the City of Campbelltown local government area. It lies 58km from the central business district of Sydney. This south-western suburb is only small with a population of 482 (2011 census).

History

Blairmount has a long history. Clues to its past can be seen in the rock carvings and cave paintings of the Tharawal people. The beginning of the 19th century saw the arrival of the British. They set up orchards and farms in the area on the good quality soil.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

The suburb has a school called Blairmount Public School. It was set up in 1983, and it caters for children from kindergarten through to year 6.

Blairmount has an equine theme running through it. Many of the roads have been given the names of horse breeds.
