Beecroft is a suburb. It is located 22km from the central business district of Sydney in a north-westerly direction. It is part of the local government areas of the City of Parramatta and Hornsby Shire. It has a population of 8,836.

History

In 1886, Beecroft was connected to the railway line, and in 1890 the post office was established. A man called Sir Henry Copeland carried out a survey in the area to see if it was a good place for housing. He was married to two sisters (one after the other), and he decided to call the suburb after them.

There is lots to keep sporty people occupied in Beecroft. It has a golf club, a tennis club and a bowls club. There are also lots of places you can go for a walk, and a park area.
