History

Barangaroo is named after the wife of an Aboriginal man. Bennelong was a spokesman for his local tribe, and talked with British colonialists. The Cadigal tribe have an important history with Barangaroo. They used the area for hunting and fishing. The Darling Harbour area was used to ship coal and commercial goods in the 1800s.

Barangaroo has no shortage of things to do. In the area that used to be Millers Point is now Barangaroo Reserve.
