Asquith is a residential suburb in northern Sydney. It’s located 26km north-west of the Sydney central business district in the Hornsby Shire. It’s considered part of the Hills District, Upper North Shore or Northern suburbs. Its population is 3,474.

History

The town achieved gazetted status in 1915. It was named after the then Prime Minister of the UK, H.H Asquith. The Asquith Railway Station opened in November that year. Land was then released by R. Halloran & Company.

Wrigley’s Chewing Gum opened its first Australian office in 1961 in Asquith. It still operates in Asquith today.
