History

Theodore was named after one of the deputy Prime Ministers of Australia, Edward Glanville Theodore. Many of the street names in the town are people involved in the civilian war effort of both world wars. One of these was a prominent figure in the Australian aircraft industry, Sir Lawrence Wackett.
