History

Kambah was officially recognised as a suburb in 1973. The houses are mostly detached and only one storey high. The name Kambah comes from a homestead with the same name that was in the area. A man called John Bryant, who was the CEO of Kellogg’s, was once a resident of Kambah.

Kambah has a number of churches serving different denominations. There is a shopping area that includes a hotel and service station.

Kambah has sports facilities to cater for a number of different sports. This includes a BMX park, a tennis club and a pony club. There are also some playing fields, and a community centre. The community centre includes a health centre and some amenities for doing indoor sports.
